Oct. 13 – Cloud Lake Presentation at Lakehead University
Lakehead University – Regional Centre (RC-2003)
The results of 2015 research and data collection at Cloud Lakewill be presented at a Lakehead University on October 13th. Members of the public are encouraged to attend the presentation which will be held in the Regional Centre (Room: RC-2003) of Lakehead University.
Graduate student Nathan Wilson under the direction of Dr. Rob Stewart and Jason Freeburn of the Department of Geography and Environmental Science, will present information on Cloud Lake water quality, shoreline health, and algae and fish populations.
Oct. 19 – Presentation of Environmental Monitoring Data at Marathon Town Hall

A summary of environmental monitoring data collected in Peninsula Harbour, the main harbour at Marathon, Ontario, will be presented between 12 noon and 1:30 p.m. on October 19th at Marathon Town Hall. The presentation is being made to provide information about the health of the Peninsula Harbour ecosystem. More information
Oct. 19 – Lake Superior Evening at Terrace Bay Recreation Centre
Terrace Bay Recreation Centre
A summary of environmental monitoring data collected in Blackbird Creek and Jackfish Bay will be presented at 7 p.m. on October 19th at the Terrace Bay Recreation Centre. The presentation is intended to provide insight into the environmental health of the Blackbird Creek/Jackfish Bay ecosystem, just east of Terrace Bay.
In the second part of the meeting a presentation will be made by Paul Turpin of Rossport about locating a train wreck and 106 year old locomotive deep in the waters of Superior. Everyone is welcome and evening events are free of charge. More information
